Join us at the farm!

Each season it is our honor to collaborate with amazing local small business owners to bring you a very special experience here on our flower farm.

All of our events have limited seating. Reservations are not held without prepayment. Reserve your space as these events fill up quickly!

Any cancellation made at least 48 hours before the time of the event will receive a credit towards another event good for 1 year. Cancellation within 24 hours, or no shows, will not be credited or refunded.
The Workshop
We are so excited to be adding smaller events in our new heated and cooled workshop. These will be limited to 8 guests.
Private Events
Would you like to have a private event? Yes, we do those too! Workshops space is for up to 8 and outdoor space for up to 12 guests. Contact us for more information. The possibilities are endless.

Flower Chai: Tea and Bloom Bar  $65

Join us for a Flower Chai Tea Blending Workshop!  Kiley Duncan, owner of Tea and Toast, will be bringing all the Fall vibes to help us create our own personal blend using dried botanicals from the farm, and teas and spices from her special collection. She will also demonstrate how to make a botanical syrup at home using fruit preserves. Enjoy tea and botanical sodas served with charcuterie cups. You’ll take home your custom Flower Chai Tea blend and an arrangement from the Flower Bar.

Glad to have Ellen Reynolds from Beagle Ridge Herb Farm in Wytheville, Virginia back to share her lavender expertise. This time we will get to make a dried lavender wreath, enjoy refreshments and create a bouquet from the flower bar. Ellen will also have some of the amazing lavender products sold on her farm for sale.

Join me for our very first botanical pressing classes! We will discuss various methods of pressing, and explore some of the cool projects you can create using them. Guests will receive a My Garden Blooms wooden flower press (a $35 value), press some fresh flowers from the gardens, enjoy refreshments, and make your own mini bouquet from the Flower Bar!

We are so honored to welcome to The Workshop the talented Brittany McGee, owner of The Humble Bee Shoppe in Winston-Salem. Join us to learn the basics of cake building with Bee! Enjoy refreshments while you will assemble your very own Humble Bee Signature 6″ London Fog Cake (my personal fave). You’ll also learn how to work with Swiss Meringue Buttercream, how to properly stack a cake, finish it with smooth but rustic edges, and top with edible flower confetti! Next we will take a stroll through the gardens for inspiration before returning to the Workshop to make an arrangement from the flower bar in an exclusive Boho-inspired vase. In addition to your amazing cake, vase and flowers, you’ll take home a handout with cake building tips, a small packet of dried edible confetti, and more! Don’t miss this one!

 

Dried Flower Pumpkins  $45

Tamales and Amaryllis Bulb Planters $90

We are so happy to have the Chemist in the Kitchen, Gina Stewart, teach us the art of making tamales! Tamales are a holiday favorite.  A tamale-assembly party is called a tamalada.  Sip on Mexican hot chocolate while Gina demonstrates making the masa. We will use olive oil instead of lard for a slightly healthier version. You will participate in assembling the tamales with a layer of masa on a corn husk with red chile chicken filling. You will leave with a recipe for making a full batch of tamales from scratch at home. While the tamales steam in a pressure cooker, you will make a beautiful Amaryllis bulb planter! There will be several color options. Then we will eat the tamales, followed by Shellie’s cinnamon pecan shortbread cookies.
